January 2012 – New Volunteer
The Trust is delighted that Claudia Netto Sisa has started volunteering at the Trust. Claudia applied for the Housing officer's post earlier in the year and was one of the candidates short listed for an interview.
Claudia is originally from Asunción, the capital city of Paraguay, and has spent the last two years in Japan. She has a background in architecture and was keen to gain some real life New Zealand experience in this field. The Trust was more than happy to help her achieve this.
So far, Claudia has been reviewing the Trust's standard design brief, looking at alternative land options and investigating overseas models of housing.
She has also introduced the Trust staff to the pleasures of tereré, an infusion of leaves from the yerba mate plant, which is widely drunk in her home country.
