May 2019 - Introducing our new tenancy manager

Sue Clarke is the newest member of the Dwell whanau and comes with experience from the UK (with Swansea City Council as a Housing Officer) and in New Zealand with Wellington City Council and most recently with LinkPeople, as tenancy manager. She also holds a Masters in Housing from Cardiff University, so adds intellectual horsepower to our already bright team.

The tenancy manager role is at the heart of what Dwells does. Sue’s responsibilities include making real our commitment to support our tenants so they can “live well, be well, do well”. A spectrum of activities is required for being “more than a landlord” - from making sure rent is paid each week and quickly assisting if it becomes a problem to getting back on track, to sourcing the people who will occupy any vacancies or new homes Dwell has. Always on the look out to help solve issues before they cause distress, Sue has great connections to our community to source the support our tenants might need.

This role requires a magic mix of empathy, clear communication, solid knowledge of tenancy law, and pragmatism. Sue will be a real champion in helping our tenants sustain their tenancies.
